Before care in the JCPS is called Morning STARS and starts from 7am.
After care is CASPER, which starts at dismissal and goes until 6pm for students Pre-K through Grade 5.

We hope this message finds you well. We have received your feedback and concerns regarding Morning Stars and Casper. Your feedback is invaluable, and we want to address each of your concerns and provide you with information about the recent changes and challenges we've faced.

There will be a SPECIAL MEETING / BOARD RETREAT for School Board Members of the Jersey City Board of Education on Monday, September 11, 2023, 346 Claremont Avenue, Jersey City, Conference Room 1R, at 6:00 pm.

Due to the current heatwave, schools will have a one-session day with dismissal at 12:45 PM on Thursday, September 7, and Friday, September 8, 2023.

Please read the attached regarding how breakfast will be served starting September 2023.

Kindly CHECK the attached regarding uniform requirements for each student attending the Fred W. Martin Center for the Arts beginning September 2023.

Grades PreK-5 - Shirts: Navy Blue Polo Pants: Navy Blue (Khaki Material)
Cardigan Sweater: Navy Blue (NO HOODS, Zippers OR LOGOS)

Grades 6-8 - Shirts: Burgundy Polo Pants: Black (Khaki Material)
Cardigan Sweater: Black (NO HOODS, Zippers OR LOGOS)
GRADE 8 ONLY: 8th Grades may wear a Burgundy or Black Polo Shirt
