Halloween

Halloween Day at the Martin Center for the Arts

We are celebrating Halloween at the Martin Center for the Arts on Monday, October 31st. While students in Grades Pre-K thru Grade 5 may wear costumes to school on Monday, October 31st instead of their school uniforms, they may NOT bring masks or accessories, such as swords, canes, guns, etc. These items are not permitted.

Your child should have received a permission slip to participate. Please sign and return the permission slip with your child on Monday. The permission slip is also attached here.

District-Wide Dress Down Day for the Victims of the Hurricane in Puerto Rico Friday, September 30, 2022 Students $1.00

All proceeds will be donated to Puerto Rico as a show of support and love from the entire Jersey City Public Schools community.

The Puerto Rican flag is red white and blue, so we are encouraging staff and students to wear these colors, if possible for the victims.
Student Attire for Dress Down Day
Jeans and/or Sweatpants may be worn
Polo Shirts or Tee Shirts with appropriate Sayings or Writings may be worn
Jeans and/or Sweatpants that are ripped, torn, shredded or Low Hanging may not be worn
Shirts that are Low-Cut, Revealing, or Mid-Riff Baring may not be worn
Leggings, Jeggings, or Spandex may not be worn.
