This summer, students will be provided with a suggested reading list for celebrating diversity, teaching kindness and respect, Life Science selections, and targeted grade-level book recommendations. Additionally, family activities that start and end with a good book are included for students to enjoy throughout the summer. Therefore, reducing the summer slide effect empowers students with engaging content choice and motivation.

JCPS SUMMER JOB FAIR

Jersey City public School District has been recognized as a 2022 Summer Meals Champion by the U.S. Department of Agriculture Food and Nutrition Service, Mid-Atlantic Region.

Dinu Antonescu will be 1 of 18 high schoolers nationwide to represent the United States of America in Brazil via the Youth Ambassadors Program.

We are very excited to announce that The Jersey City Public Schools District is a recipient of Governor Murphy’s Stormwater Assistance Grants. JCPS will develop a plan to survey and retrofit up to 39 schools with green infrastructure and construct rain gardens at two of them.

The President Barack Obama Community School, PS 34 has been awarded Promising Practice Award by Character.org, for their practice "Parent Partners and Community Champions".
